Measuring to 40mm in diameter, the timepiece has increased its size slightly from the original but remains presented in a breathtaking polished stainless steel case fitted with a vintage flat fixed bezel and high quality anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal glass famed for its legibility and scratch resistance.
The faithful re-edition continues to impress with a centrepiece dial decorated in a gorgeous copper coloured finish and painted Arabic numerals and indexes The dial of the Longines Heritage 1945 is also exquisitely detailed with 6 cabochons around the edge which gives the aesthetic a nice balance while the subsidiary seconds complication at 6 o clock provides additional functionality just like that of the original.
The subsidiary seconds and central blue steel hands for hour and minutes are powered by the contemporary L609 automatic winding movement, a Swiss made calibre which also promises a power reserve of 42 hours and is fitted with a total of 27 jewels.
