Junghans Watch Meister Gangreserve Limited Edition 160. 27/4112.46. As part of the celebrations for their 160th birthday, German watch manufacturer Junghans have presented the Meister Gangreserve 160 Limited Edition, a watch with journeys back through the luxury watch brand's decorated past. During the 1950's, Junghans unveiled a special mechanical wristwatch with a unique power reserve indicator which displayed its remaining power through a coloured indicator at 6 o'clock. Today, this retro display is revived in the Junghans Meister Gangreserve 160 Limited Edition with a rare marker gradually changing from green to yellow to red to indicate when it's time to wind the automatic watch again. Powering the display is the J810.2 automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 42 hours. The Junghans Meister Gangreserve 160 Limited Edition continues to impress with a sophisticated stainless steel case measuring to 40.4 millimetres in diameter and 11.1 millimetre in height. Turn the men's watch around and through transparent mineral glass admire the automatic winding movement working hard within as it powers the power reserve indicator, central hands for hours, minutes and seconds and the date complication at 3 o'clock. Each of these functions are presented on a handsome silver-plated matte dial detailed with white environmentally friendly luminous hands and protected beneath domed sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The small non-screw locked knurled crown at 3 o'clock helps ensure a water resistant rating of 50 metres. To complete the look of the Junghans Meister Gangreserve watch, a stainless steel bracelet is added alongside a classic folding buckle. |
