Combining the DNA of their iconic Open Gear watch with a playful flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock, luxury watch brand Chronoswiss have launched a breathtaking limited edition fully demonstrative of their technical prowess.
Limited to only 15 pieces, the Chronoswiss Open Gear Tourbillon makes a statement dressed in ten different shades of blue, a colour which has historically symbolised loyalty, strength, wisdom, trust and calm.
The 17-part stainless steel case is treated to an electric blue CVD coating while at the centre, the blue dial is split into two segments.
The upper half comes to life through handmade guilloche for an enchanting iridescent effect while the bottom part, surrounding the flying tourbillon feature, is adorned in the classic Cotes de Geneve stripes.
The Chronoswiss Open Gear Tourbillon Limited Edition continues to impress with regulator-like set up including off centred hours at 12 o'clock and a large central minutes hand, both opting for a lacquered Trigono-shaped hand treated with glow in the dark Superluminova inlays.
Powering these complications is the Chronoswiss manufacture C>303 calibre which is manually wound by the onion crown.
The in-house movement also guarantees a power reserve of approximately 60 hours, a frequency of 28
800vph and 23 jewels, some of which are viewable through the sapphire crystal case back alongside the calibre's skeletonised bridges, anthracite balance wheel, skeletonised spring barrel and Cotes de Geneve decorated main plate.
The movement of the Chronoswiss limited edition is kept housed within a 44mm case with polished and vertical satin finishing which alongside a Hornback crocodile leather strap and double coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass, delivers a water resistant rating of 100 metres.
